Description: Long extracts from documentaries about the village of Denham (shot in the 1930s and the 1960s) are interwoven with contemporary voices reflecting on the place's history. The video includes comment and recollections about the village of Denham and the local studios of London Film Productions from Denham residents Joyce Franks, Mavis Archer, Phyllis Scrivener, Hugh Stewart, Madelene Patto, and Hilda Tuck . Another Denham resident, the actor John Mills, recalls some of the films made at the studios including 'In Which We Serve' and "The History of Mr Polly' and cinema celebrities including producer Alexander Korda, and actor/directors Laurence Olivier and Noel Coward.
