Description: Edmonds Compilation: Grandpa's Wedding Weymouth (August 1943) - man and woman exiting a church and then we see family members also leave (tight angle on church, so little of church), people have buttonholes. Interior - dark, presumably reception, people sat around table being served by maids, very short sequence. Two people talking on railway platform, behind them the tender for the train says Southern,, porter on platform, people standing around talking - some of the people were at the wedding. Steam train leaving platform, people waving. Street scene, wartime, very dark, corner of a streety. Peggy's Wedding, Feb '44, Edgware. Exterior views of St Margaret of Antioch (1 Station Rd, Edgware HA8 7JE). CU of handwritten sign on door: 'confetti strictly forbidden in churchyard'. Guests arriving, approaching church from street, smiling faces, lots of women and children. Groom in naval uniform stands with best man who wears a suit. Another military man arrives. Bride in full wedding dress, veil etc. arrives with her father bride, and they pose briefly for the camera. Husband and wife leave church hand in hand - again they pose for the camera followed by shots of them greeting family members in Churchyard. Couple get into car which is decorated for the occasion with ribbons, behind the car are two shops: 'J.Salmon and Son limited' and 'Spurriers'. Bride walks down steps, possibly to hall for reception. Informal shot of bride and groom posing for camera again as they laugh. More CU's of them laughing. Shots of extended family again posing for camera. Interior: small cake being cut, bridge has changed out of wedding dress. Carrying cases out of the house/hall, shot of wife smoking, saying goodbye to guests, climbing into taxi. Beating Bounds (March 1944), Ruislip: view from out of window looking onto country road (Ruislip possibly?), shots of a procession featuring church group (boys in choir) - two shots out of window, Boys in the longue (September 1944) - three boys sat on sofa, playing around, oldest approximately 6 years old, one of the gets a ball and puts it on another boys head, bouncing on the sofa, boys darts out from behind full-length curtains, playing rock your boat on the floor, shot of boys up against wall. Exterior scene of countryside-like location: woman with pram and small boys crossing bridge over what could be a canal (possibly one near Ruislip). Older boy sits on a wall watching something. Man pushing buggy. Shot over wood and house in distance Evelyn Avenue Weymouth Wedding takes place August 1943.
