The children's ward of Down's Hospital, in Sutton (then in the county of Surrey) is the site for the Topical Budget newsreel's 1926 Christmas celebrations. A 'fairy sister' adorned in tinsel takes her wand around the ward and magics up gifts for the infants, many of whom are bedridden. Some nurses assist children in the adorning of a festive conifer and in collecting holly for internal decorations.
