Description: The film features titles introducing each sequence and begins with an event at Ewell. 'Displays Physical Training Cyclist Exercises'. 'Buglers F Carshalton Co. Herald Display'. A row of uniformed buglers are filmed blowing their horns. 'Massed Physical Exercises'. Sporting events at Ewell including, formation callisthenics, formation cycling and a bicycle polo match. 'First Aid Sketch Road Explosion . . . B.B. To The Rescue'. In the parkland a roadside scene is staged with workmen digging a fake road and some cyclists passing by, a sudden burst of flame mimicking an explosion knocks the riders to the ground. Boys' Brigade members rush to their assistance with bandages, stretchers and first aid. 'Outdoor Programme Football Swimming'. There follows scenes of a soccer match, outdoor swimming and diving from a board into a river. 'Outdoor Programme Hiking Cross Country Run Athletic Sports'. 'Ramble to Gatton Park'. Boys running cross country at Gatton Park in Reigate. 'Summer Camp Bathing Cookhouse Ices Kit Inspection'. Film of a campsite, includes a group of bell tents with boys lined up outside them for an inspection of their equipment. There follows more scenes from the camping trip, including boys swimming in the sea, beachcombing, and eating melon on the beach (possibly at Swanage in Dorset). There are also shots of the boys preparing, cooking, serving and eating food in camp. 'Summer Camp/Tattoo in Camp/Sick Parade/Sing Song/Cricket/Daily Prayers'. A marching band of the boys are filmed practising the 'tattoo'. A humorous section follows with a staged set up including a bell tent acting as a field hospital and a bench of boys outside with ailments, one with a bandage around his head, one cradling a sore foot, and another clutching an icky stomach. Another boy acting as a shaky medic serves each of his patients a spoonful of castor oil. A large Boys' Brigade meeting in Epsom with a brass band providing musical accompaniment and a seated audience watching the boys marching, cycling and callisthenics displays, and Captain Graham Glegg inspecting the troops. There follows a parade down an Epsom street (past shops including F.Buckley, Thorn Chemist, F.P.Roadhouse, T.League, Butchers, Home Colonial, V. Coppen, and the Odeon cinema). The film ends with a sports competition held at Banstead Hall including running races, throwing events, the long jump, the high jump, and a relay race.
