Description: The film begins with boys playing a cricket match and onscreen titles reading 'The Team Holiday. 1st Mid-Surrrey at Oxshot'. 'Departure from Belmont; Off for a Swim; Adventures in the Wood; The Tuck Shop': Some boys are filmed boarding a truck outside Belmont Church, before scenes of them at a campsite walking out of circular hut, swimming outside in lake, collecting firewood and getting sweets and drinks from a tuck shop. Another title reading 'A Swing on the Rope; Grub Up! Camp Fire Swing Song; A Game of Cricket' precedes film of boys on a rope swing, running to outdoor tables for meal, doing the washing up, sitting around a campfire, and playing a game of cricket. A group of boys sit in a circle to be told story by their group leader. There is a flag raising ceremony at sunset. A title reading 'Games of all kinds in the sandpit' introduces boys playing, performing long jumps, and climbing through tunnel. The end of the trip is recorded with the packing up of tents, and the boys boarding the lorry home, waving from its back as it departs. A title reading 'Area Sports In Mid-Surrey Well Organised. Event Follows Event Without Hitch' introduces a new event featuring a running race, throwing games, an egg and spoon, a high jump competition, a 100 yd sprint, a sack race, a relay race and a Tug-o-War. A man present prize books to the winners of events and shakes their hands. Another occasion is introduced by the onscreen title: 'Toys Collected At Area Toy Service Distributed By Santa Claus At Children's Hospital. Life Boys and Leaders Attend'. A man dressed as Santa Claus gets out of a car and enters a hospital. He presents wrapped gifts to children by a Christmas tree. Santa, the children and hospital staff then group outside the hospital building for photographs. 'Carol Singers Arrive At House And Receive Generous Response for Dichpali Leper Hospital'. Boys are filmed singing carols outside a residential dwelling. A long series of text titles then describe the process of a Lige Bot joining the Boys Brigade proper: 'A Service And the Life Boy Vesper Closes each Meeting and the Flag Is Saluted (2nd. Mid-Surrey Bookham)'. Saluting the flag and lowering it. 'The Object of the Life Boys is the Advancement of Christ's Kingdom Among Young Boys And the Training of a Suitable Body of Recruits for the BOYS BRIGADE'. 'Transfer to the B.B. Company A Very Important Event Transfer Ceremony By 3rd Mid-Surrey (Cheam)'. 'Boys for the Transfer Step From Ranks of Team Addressed by Their Leader in Charge. And Introduced to B.B. Captain. Transfer Certificates Presented and B.B. Uniforms Issued'. The transfer ceremony is filmed, with trick photography being used to quickly switch the boy between his Life Boy uniform and his new Boys Brigade uniform.
