Description: The story of Arthur Liberty's fascination with Japanese prints is used to introduce the history of Liberty of London's manufacture of printed fabrics. Two female models dressed in clothes made of Liberty fabrics wander about Liberty's Merton Print Works as the commentary describes the modern process of making those fabrics and where they take place. Examples of many of the processes and places are also shown including: the design studios, the design library, screen printing processes and machinery, the colour shop and the waterwheel which originally powered the works.
