1’38” Tower Bridge opening and closing before two policemen allow horses and carts and vehicles to cross.
2’08” Footage of the industrial dockland buildings and people working in them. Two men load sacks. Two horses eat from bags around their necks. A man rolls a barrel for loading. A crane operating outside the Prospect of Whitby (Wapping wall).

5’01” ‘The Blue’. Footage of a busy market place – The Blue Market on Southwark Park Road.
5’34” ‘The Playing Fields of Bermondsey’ Children playing football in the street and having to stop for the occasional car or carriage. Views of the river and children playing on a site in the docks before being told off by an adult and running away.
7’38” Girls playing hopscotch. A clock shows the time of 5.20pm and the girls run off to wait to be let into a building at 5.30pm. they run through the building (the Time and Talents Club?). Footage of girls dancing on what looks like the roof of the building with the iron structure shown earlier. 9’32” Girls taking out books from a library, presumably in the same room. Footage of them reading books and newspapers. Girls making model dolls’ houses using matchboxes to make furniture. Girls painting, knitting and sewing, then washing and hanging up clothes. At 6.30pm the girls get together for a religious gathering.
12’40” ‘Camp’. View of tents and boy scouts being inspected. A camp rota is shown. Boys carry water buckets with water to be heated for tea on the camp fire. Boys bang their plates waiting for food. Food is dished out. 15’12” They play cricket and then play in the field in their pyjamas before being told to go to bed. They keep running out of the tent.
16’33” A man operates a moving bridge in the docks. Footage of boats on the river.
