Further information: Amateur filmmaker Frederick Meiklejohn owned the toy shop on Lambeth Walk (no. 189 in the 1963 directory), and he was actively involved in the Traders Association that ran the annual festivals. Lambeth Archives has a film of the festival (on DVD) made by Mr Hewett who had the shoe shop at 118. He identified footage in which Meiklejohn can be seen filming the floats.

Would be amazing if there was footage of that she was Diane Slayford all I know was it was late fifties early 60s.
