Description: Film record of a staff conference for employees of Jaeger Ladies wear, after a period of poor trading. Presentations are made by Corrine Stokes; Fiona Harrison, Chief Executive of the Fashion Retail Division; Brian Schama, Managing Director of Ladies wear UK & Europe; Julie Barker, the Finance Director; Teresa White, Divisional Marketing Manager; Douglas Duffin, Total Quality Co-ordinator; Liz Dick, Regional Manager for the Midlands; Fiona McGovern, Regional Manager for the South-East; Jeanette Todd, the International Design Director; Gillian Brown, the Buyer; and Sally Ambrose, the Assistant Buyer. After the difficult trading years the Managing Director proposes how Jaeger are looking to revitalise the company. Aware that they will never be competitive on price and that they will not lead fashion trends, they should instead concentrate on: the quality of their fabrics and fibres, the quality of their make of clothes, their brand integrity, their international acceptability, their strong brand image and their outstanding customer service - in order to improve their competitive edge. The company's focus for the next two years is to be on attracting new customers into stores. PowerPoint slides indicate the financial situation of the company over the previous few years and indicate the sales target for Autumn/Winter 1995: £37 Million (an 8% increase over 1994). Awards are presented to the managers of stores who have had the largest sales increases in Spring 1995, including: the manager of their West End concession in D.H. Evans, Clemencia Davda; Kym Sams manager of the Kensington store; Myra McAllister, manager of the concession in Frasers in Glasgow; Heidi Rankin, manager of the Kendal Milne store in Manchester; a Midlands tie between Kaye Middleton, manager of the Rackhams concession in Birmingham and Rosemary Tracey, manager of the Beatties concession in Solihull; Rosamund Churchouse of the Guildford store; and Ann Hobbs, manager of the Bath store. A catwalk show is used to present the Autumn/Winter 1995 collection.
