In 'Housing on the Isle of Dogs' a council block resident talks about the poor conditions of much of the social housing in the area and the council's poor record of making improvements. They say that the London Docklands Development Corporation want to make the island into another Chelsea and that there is too much concern for private housing which is not available to local people. In 'Local History' Ada Price talks about the Picture it Now project encouraging people to collect photographs of the Isle of Dogs now before the changes being planned are enacted. She shows some of her photographs. There is also film of a local history banner being made by people working on the Island History project. 'Tower Hamlets Mobile Creche' features women decorating the Fun Runner, an old double decker bus converted into a mobile creche. A tour around the bus facilities takes in the office, kitchen, workspace, sandpit, storage spaces, workbenches, meeting space, and open play area. The conversion is all done by women working as carpenters, plumbers, and electricians. 'East London Marine Venture and the Ocean Youth Club' presents a Dutch barge brought to West India Docks and converted into a mobile space to take young people from the Isle of Dogs on educational and leisure trips across the sea to Holland. In 'The East End Festival' a cabaret act performs at the East End Festival pastiching Soviet Agit-prop theatre with a story allegedly from Siberia. 'Local Music' is a pop video for un-named local act featuring views from trains travelling through East London, views of passengers at stations and on tube trains and street scenes. The music is instrumental, electronic music with no vocals.
