Description: Pupils of Pelham Junior School on Pelham Road in Bexleyheath practice their cycling skills in the playground in front of the school. Each pupil in turn rides a bicycle in front of his or her seated peers, showing correct road behaviour and signalling. Another part of the cycling proficiency exercise involves accurate manoeuvring and the pupils cycle around a number of small obstacles. The pupils show their knowledge of hand signals and road awareness.
