Summary: A documentary record of the event commemorating the 50th anniversary of V.E. day on Chestnut Sunday in Bushy Park.

Description: The video records the parade featuring marching bands, men marching in old military uniforms, horse drawn carriages, cyclists on antique bicycles, horse riders, bagpipers, vintage automobiles, Second World War veterans, scouting organisations, impersonators of Second World War military leaders in an American jeep, RAF cadets, Navy cadets, Army cadets, majorettes, and horse rangers. The parade leads into a sectioned off part of the park where they pass a raised platform on which the Mayor stands. Some men dressed in Victorian soldier's uniforms fire their guns, and buglers sound the last post. Interspersed amongst the parade footage, are interviews with some Chelsea pensioners and other veterans speaking about their lives and military experience.
