Description: A riverside walk along the towpath from Richmond Hill following an actress playing a visitor to Richmond-Upon-Thames. The trip takes in a couple of the famous houses that can be visited in the area, beginning with a visit to Jacobean mansion of Ham House, exploring its interior and art collection. From Ham House the visitor crosses the river using Hammertons Ferry and proceeds on to the Orleans House Gallery. Mr Scott the ferryman for Hammertons talks about his job as the visitor crosses. The visitor walks through the wild garden of Orleans House Gallery before getting a guided tour of the house by Pat Astley-Cooper. The tour takes in the building's decor, art collection and furniture. Along the way the video tells stories about the history of the area and refers to other local places worthy of visiting including Marble Hill House.
