The first and longest sequence features nurses washing a baby girl, cleaning her ears, washing her face and hair, lathering and rinsing her in a basin bath, getting her dry again, brushing her hair and getting her dressed. There follows a shorter sequence including a nurse scrubbing up in a staff bathroom and dressing in surgical robes; tea making in the staff kitchen and general shots of infants in a nursery, eating while sat in high chairs.
