DOLLS

Summary: ‘DOLLS’ is a mini archive made of photographs and moving images. Inspired by one photo, the narrative expands into a self-portrait of neuro-diverse creative and poet Be Manzini.
Title number: 22443
LSA ID: LSA/29507
Description: “I don’t have many pictures of my childhood and in this story, I wanted to archive as many different ages as I could. It feels good that my descents will be able to access both my image and voice. I have never seen a photo of my paternal grandfather; I’ve always thought what a blessing it would be to be able to see and hear him. This piece was drafted in 2 hours from one album and an iPhone 6! I hope this short form is not only an inter-generational blessing but serves as a reminder that archiving is a gift that should be created as often as can be.”
Credits: Manzini, Be (Filmmaker); Ehenulo, Kelechi (Producer)
