Summary: Opening title- 'Kingston & District Cine Club presents The Snatch by Ron Heathorn'. £1 bank notes on a table. Street scene, a cafe and a man walks down the street carrying a briefcase. The man appears to be followed by another man. The first man with the briefcase turns a corner on to St James' Street and enters Lloyds Bank. The man who was following him also enters the bank. The man with the briefcase is at the bank counter and the man following him is writing notes behind him. The man at the counter puts a large number of notes into his briefcase and leaves the bank, followed by the same man as before. They continue to walk down various streets and the man following continues to write notes, eventually turning and walking away. The man taking notes goes into a house, and opens a letter. He reads the letter and then throws it away. He opens his wallet, takes a £1 bank note from it, places it carefully on a table and photographs it. We then see the man develop the film and examines the negative. Fade out. He starts to make prints of the £1 bank note and hangs the printed notes up to dry. He then compares the original bank note to the counterfeit copies. A sequence of a clock moving forward. He takes the notes down, and makes three piles of counterfeit bank notes. He places them into an identical briefcase as the man in the beginning. We then see both men again walking towards the bank. The second man now has the same briefcase as the first. The first enters Lloyds Bank, the second waits for him on the original route. The man with the counterfeit money stops the first man and asks him for a light for a cigarette. Both briefcases are placed on the floor, next to each other. They switch briefcases, so the forger now has the briefcase with the real money and is seen running off into the distance. Closing credits - 'The End'.
