Description: Family swimming in the sea, relaxing on the beach, scenes of a beauty contest 'could you be the next Marilyn.' Mother and daughter walk in civic garden with distinctive Tower and remnants of church. They visit a Tudor House. Scenes of the seafront and harbour. Mother and daughter in garden (possibly at home) sitting in deck chairs with family dog. Mother and daughter struggle to blow up lido and family seen in sea playing on lido. Donkey and fairground rides featured. Queens Hotel Butlins is featured Redcoats featured with holiday guests realxing in the pool. Shots of underwater swimming is featured. Variety of sunbathers featured. Large people/ family group outside a House with Stanmore sign over the front door porch.

Further information: Sydney Francis Martin lived in Wanstead & Woodford with his wife Mary and daughter Eileen. A very accomplished amateur filmmaker, he joined the Ilford Cine Club and went on to become a founder member of the Wanstead & Woodford Cine Club. He became chairman of the IAC (Film and Video Institute).
Whilst not all of these films show the London Borough of Redbridge, they are kept together as an archive of his filmmaking.
