Description: Crystal Palace Park in London is one of the world's oldest motor sport venues, staging its first race in 1899. The likes of Stirling Moss, Jim Clark, Graham Hill and Stirling Moss have all raced there. It was 'London's Own Circuit' until 1972 when the circuit closed. But in 1997 a group of enthusiasts organised a series of sprint events and regular motor sport returned in 2010 due to the dedication of clubs and racing fans. Each May there’s two days of time trials featuring cars from the pre-war era to the modern day. It’s quite a spectacle – a kind of high octane garden party.
