Description: The film poses the question as to where shall to go on holiday? the answer is anywhere to escape the bleak urban landscape. The film then takes us on a tour of the seaside to an unnamed resort where children play on the beach and paddle in the sea. The action then switches to London where the ceremony of Changing of the Guard is taking place, At London Zoo, the animals are seen entertaining the public. People are then seen enjoying fairground rides including swing boats, the helter skelter and roundabouts. All of this activity is thirsty work and people are seen enjoying a drink at the pub. The film then finishes with a visit to the Wye Valley and Wales with idyllic country scenes of waterfalls and rivers.

Further information: Sydney Francis Martin lived in Wanstead & Woodford with his wife Mary and daughter Eileen. A very accomplished amateur filmmaker, he joined the Ilford Cine Club and went on to become a founder member of the Wanstead & Woodford Cine Club. He became chairman of the IAC (Film and Video Institute).
Whilst not all of these films show the London Borough of Redbridge, they are kept together as an archive of his filmmaking.
