Traffic steadily increases, man cleaning shop window. Coach passes. Shots of school girls in uniform with hats waiting for the bus, which arrives and drives away with the pupils waving from the Windows. Elevated view of corner. Shots of junction, people crossing with prams and a man with small dog. Close up of the traffic lights changing. Truck parks and drops off fresh vegetables to a green grocers, before there are view of a Sainsburys supermarket. More shots of traffic, buses. Shots of local chatting outside a shop and near a phone box, man with wooden crutches hobbles past. Filmmaker then follows a man wearing a white shop to a Saloon Bar, which might be inside the swan hotel as there is a shot the sign. Another shot of a sign for the courage brewery. Shot of a Schweppes van unloading crates of drinks, rubbish collectors, cyclists. Sequence captures Morris Dancers and another street performer who entertains crowd with a comic horse costume. More crossing with shot of pedestrian button being pushed, elevated views. Girls are dropped off from school by coach. Shots of roadworks, men working, they appear to be repaving the pavement. People waiting at bus stop, being collected by route master. Shot a sign the directs to a station. People walking (perhaps heading home as light is changing) past a shop called W.F. Rogers "everything electrical". Shot of a shop interior, customers (is this the electrical shop?). Close up of a "posting box" and shots of people posting letters. Public clock shows the time is 7pm. Postman arrives in red van and collects letters, there's also a close up to show the times of post collections. Dusk, traffic continues around the corner. More traffic and crossing lights in the fading light. Clock shows time 8:50pm empty bench. Evening newspaper being sold at stall. Stall has a headline which reads “Czech crisis". Newspaper seller closes up stall and drags stall off down street. Shots of various shops shut. Shot traffic lights and sunset over the street.. Tesco sign. Streets with few vehicles. Close of what appears to be an IT "slumberland posture springing"
