It was a vey noisy and dusty environment to work in, in 1959 earned around £2 -10 shillings a week, my uncle was the boiler man. I recognise the faces but not the names of the other workers. As a small child I would go to the factory n the bas from Ilford high road and my dad would be at the us stop to meet me, we would come home on his motor bike and sidecar. That would be around 1955.
