Astonishing to see myself marching right past the camera in the 4th Ealing Boys Brigade band. I'm the rather grumpy looking 13 year old staring into the camera at 4.13. !
This was a month before the Apollo 11 moon landing so there was great excitement at the prospect and the 4th Ealing float even mentions it. I remember the carnival well and used to look forward to it every year. I only served in the trenches with the Boys Brigade for a year or so (until I discovered girls) but they were a wonderful organization and I have nothing but happy memories of that time.

Absolutely brilliant! A time-capsule from another era. I would have been 15 years old and probably there! Thank you for sharing it.
