Description: This 30th Anniversary of the Routemaster was filmed on a cold day after snow fell and has various buses leaving the bus station.
Credits: Hamilton, David (Filmmaker)
Further information: The filmmakers friend, Jim Blake organised the bus rally. At the time of the anniversary there were plenty of Routemasters around. One bus to note is an RT type with cream paint on the upper deck, this was owned by a society the filmmaker was a member of and the filmmaker actually owned part of the RT type.
David Hamilton’s films form part of a collection which documents his enthusiasm for public transport (and especially buses) in the Borough of Redbridge and across London, capturing special days and everyday travel.
Whilst not all of these films show the London Borough of Redbridge, they are kept together as an archive of his filmmaking.
Locations: United Kingdom, London, Golders Green
