Summary: This film shows the activities in Rickmansworth during the 'Rickmansworth Week', the village's local festival. The first day is devoted to country dancing and Morris dancing in the streets then later in a park area. Children eagerly join in the fun. The second day we see the Pinner Cine Society putting on a film show to a packed audience. The screen 'A Good Show' and 'Trial and Error'. The next day is a day of historical tour around the village which stop at the church and the high street along the way. on the last day we see inside the market, the book stall doing a roaing trade and lastly there is an art show.

I/T Monday 11th June Traditional dancing. A crowded high street features Morris and Country Dancing in the street, with a procession of dancers leading to the Park. On arrival a lady is featured playing the piano, with a dancer form the procession now playing the fiddle and singing into a microphone, with an appreciative crowd of spectators. Children are dancing (traditional Country dancing),
I/T Tuesday 12th June Film show. Opening scene is the parish church hall, with people arriving to watch the film-a poster advertises 'Trial and Error' (made by the Pinner Film Society) produced by Anthony Willoughby and directed by Ronald English. The projection equipment is being set up before a large audience filling the hall. The film is projected with shots of the projectionist, and three turntables projecting the sound.
I/T Thursday 14th June. The past around us. A tour of Rickmansworth with a large group of people, taking in the Old Church, The Chequers Pub, The Feathers Pub, as they walk through the streets. William Penn's house and St Joan of Arc's convent, are also featured,
I/T Saturday 16th June. Caledonian Market & Art Exhibition. Sign advertises WVS Darby & Joan Club, with people arriving, A poster advertises Alexander Day. A second hand book sale takes place, with lots of interest from customers. Other stalls are Bric and Brac, and a family take a break with a cup of tea. A sign advertises an open air art show now taking place indoors due to the rain-with people taking shelter and viewing the art-which is featured in the film.
