Shot of crowd of people watching someone examine a vase. New shot of a sitting room with television on and someone sitting with his back to the camera and a beer in his hand. Cuts to TV expert admiring the vase and back to the man watching the TV drifting off to sleep. Shot of man looking at same vase as he saw on TV programme, picking it up and cuts back and forth from TV programme to man. Shot of man on telephone to someone. He picks up vase, dusts it and puts back on shelf.
Shot of man going to bed. Shot of intruder in house with torch looking at vases on shelf; cut back to man asleep who is dreaming of lots of money and having a nice meal, toasting his success. Cut to man looking a holidays and wearing white tuxedo and woman wearing posh dress. Cut to them walking upstairs in their pyjamas and a slow motion shot of them kissing. The man wakes up from his dream by the intruder dropping crockery on floor and rushes part way downstairs to see intruder. He then returns to his bedroom and makes a telephone call. Shot of man coming downstairs again and confronting intruder who throws vase at him which he catches. The intruder tries to make his escape via the front door only to be confronted by two policemen. Next shot is of a policeman taking notes and accidentally knocking vase to floor which shatters.
