ProRes digital file Black & White Mute 1922 1:02
Summary: Eccentric goalkeeping, frantic tackling and one lost stadium feature in these brilliant highlights from two London derbies in the 1922 FA Cup.
Title number: 19925
LSA ID: LSA/26368
Description: Footage from two cup matches, starting with the South London derby between Crystal Palace and Millwall, a 0-0 draw at Palace’s old ground, The Nest, in Selhurst, which no longer exists (Millwall won the replay). The second is between Spurs and Watford at White Hart Lane, Spurs winning 1-0. In both, the goalkeeping is particularly interesting as is the attire of the referee, who wears a suit with three-quarter length trousers. It ends with a crowd shot – can you spot the woman?
