Description: Filmed in January 1923, this shows Wembley in the middle of construction with one half-built stands, no roof, unfinished terraces and unmarked pitch. The twin towers are nowhere to be seen. Astonishingly, the ground would be complete by the end of May, when it staged its first FA Cup final.

Produced by William Jeapes' Topical Film Company, its first issue was released in September 1911. Of several newsreels on the market in this early period, by the middle of the First World War only three survived: Topical, Pathé and Gaumont
