Description: 'The Start of the Day' title appears along with a small unclothed baby doll. An open tin of powdered milk sits on the counter. A swaddled baby (Peter) sucks on his own fingers. A scoop of powder is measured into a jug. A white milky liquid is poured into a bottle. A rubber teat is pulled onto the bottle. The baby Peter smiles. A toddler (Christine) carries a small bathtub into the room. The baby Peter is now in the bathtub full of water, mother washes him and Christine splashes her hands in the tub. Baby Peter looks on wide-eyed at his mother. Mother dries off the baby off, making sure she carefully dries Peter's ears. Christine brings in the baby powder. Mother ties up Peter's cloth nappy. Mother speaks to baby Peter as they both smile. Christine helps tidy away and brings in baby's bottle. Mother feeds Peter the bottle. Christine kisses her baby brother several times on the forehead. Mother now spoon feeds baby food to Peter. Once the small ramekin is empty Mother takes Peter out to the garden and puts him in the pram. Christine runs over and helps pull up the sun shade on Peter's pram. 'The End' title appears with an unclothed baby doll.

Further information: Mr Victor Ashlee was a local resident and keen filmmaker.
He lived at Eversley Avenue, Barnehurst and later at Caithness Gardens, Sidcup. His four children named Christine, Peter, Diane and Andrew were born between 1957 and 1969 and feature in many of the films in this collection.
