Description: The Uninon Telephone Cables Company was one of the largest employers in Dagenham and this film shows some of the machinery in its factory. Machinery rotates, spins cables and ties them together to create telephone wires, shown from different angles. The machines seems to spin rhythmically as though the filmmaker has been inspired by Dziga Vertov or Walter Ruttmann.
