Description: The Statue of Liberty is seen from a boat on the Hudson River against a dark glowering sky. The camera zooms in on Liberty's face and upstretched arm and then out again. As the boat moves upriver the New York City skyline comes into view, with its skyscrapers, the dominating outline of the World Trade Center and finally in the distance the Empire State Building.

Back in England for the wedding on 29 April 1973: Lyn (the bride) and her young bridesmaid, both dressed in white, are seen, rather dimly, outside Lyn's family home at St. Barnarbas Road, Woodford Green. Lyn, her huge white veil swept back from her face, smiles as she walks past a red car in the drive. Her bridesmaid, in a white bonnet and long-sleeved frock, smiles shyly as she comes out of the front door, then poses again in the doorway beside a little boy in a blue flowery shirt with a wide collar and a black baker boy cap. The wedding party gathers by the door: Lyn, the young bridesmaid, the little boy, an adult bridesmaid in mauve, another woman with her back to the camera and the bride's mother in green with a fur wrap. They then walk down the path to the street. The woman who initially had her back turned shuts and locks the door, then stands talking to camera for a moment, holding a gold evening bag and a coat.

A large black wedding car is in the street near the Beehive Lane Synagogue, Ilford and the group poses beside it. Other wedding guests can be seen behind.

In the final shots, the couple are inside the synagogue, by the chuppah (wedding canopy). The bride's white dress glows in the dimly-lit surroundings.
