Description: A Christmas event is being filmed at Manchester Deaf Centre where Dorothy Miles, a guest of honour, has been invited to give a speech where she talks on her memories of Manchester. She sees the city as home because of her childhood at the Deaf school in Trafford. She also talks on the importance of filming and preserving Deaf stories & memories, encouraging people/Deaf clubs to film more rather than just take photos since the former captures our visual language better.

Members of the Manchester Deaf community also appears & talks to the general audience, including Terry Riley who gives out a Medal of Honour to someone who has been actively involved in the Manchester Deaf Centre & local sports/community events for over 70 years.
