Description: The film consists of candid footage of men and women of the police at work in London. The Metropolitan Police are represented with officers from the London police forces of Ladywell, Lewisham, Westminster and the Thames Division. Officers are seen walking 'on the beat', using motorcycles and cars, on horseback and in motorboats. Amongst the locations featured are Trafalgar Square, the Houses of Parliament, Whitehall, Downing Street and Embankment Pier. Includes a wonderful montage of 1970s police cars including an Austin Allegro and Rover P6 among others.
