Description: A film survey of some of the London Borough of Greenwich's theatrical spaces. It begins with exterior shots of Greenwich Theatre on Croom's Hill in Greenwich, with views of the adjacent 'Rose & Crown' public house on the corner of Nevada Street and street scenes in the area near Greenwich Park. The gates of Greenwich Park also briefly appear. Ewan Hopper is shown entering the theatre. The film then carries on inside Greenwich Theatre with views of the theatre auditorium, the racked seating, the stage lights, lighting gantry, the stage itself and a backstage props area (showing props for 'The Importance of Being Ernest'. There are also shots taken around the Greenwich Theatre Gallery, including the lobby stairs (wallpapered with headed notepaper from various companies) and an exhibition of pictures hung in the gallery space. The film then moves on to record the theatrical spaces of the Greenwich Young People's Theatre on Woolwich New Road in Woolwich. Two areas are featured: 'Stage Centre' and 'The Tram Shed'. In both there are general views around the spaces, including stage areas and lighting rigs. There are also shots of a cafe/bar area decorated with posters of 1970s pop stars (mainly glam rockers) on the wall. On one of the stages, some speakers and record decks labelled 'Sir Version' stand ready for use.
