Title number: 18222
LSA ID: LSA/21379
Description: Segment 1 A doctor and engineer monitor the heart rate of a female hurdler as she runs down a track. Their voiceovers are heard talking about working together to create the monitoring equipment. A couple walk through a park the man is shown to have an artificial leg. A laboratory that tests prosthetic limbs is seen, and the doctor and engineer are again heard talking about how medical requirements were translated into engineering terms to create the prostheses. A man has his stump modelled and then a fibreglass socket is created for him. The workshop is seen.
