Summary: A film showing a much needed holiday provided for children with cerebral palsy. The holiday took place in the town of Ruislip, organised by Ruislip Christian Council and the British Red Cross Society, and the children are taken on a day trip to enjoy the sights of London. 3 segments.

Description: Segment 1 The narrator, television personality Leslie Crowther, introduces the town of Ruislip, Middlesex. He explains that in 1972, residents of Ruislip organised a holiday to the town for 20 children with cerebral palsy. The children's bus arrives and the children go to the church hall, which has been set up as their dormitory. Local residents donated beds, and shops and businesses helped with food and essential items. The children are taken on a daytrip to London, and they see Big Ben and Buckingham Palace. Time start: 00:00:00:00 Time end: 00:06:39:20 Length: 00:06:39:20 Segment 2 At Buckingham Palace, the children are allowed through the gate and watch the changing of the guard from inside the palace grounds. They eat lunch in a park. Back in Ruislip they are seen swimming in the local pool and eating dinner in a park with the town crier. They are shown playing in a playground and being entertained at a party by a magician and a Punch and Judy show. The narrator talks of the friendships they made over their holiday and how the holiday has also helped the children's parents by giving them a break.
