Description: Segment 1 The case study is a broken little finger. The patient shows his finger to the camera. An x-ray of the finger before treatment is shown. Local anaesthetic is injected into the finger. A doctor shows two types of finger splint to the camera. A wire splint is fastened to the patient's wrist by means of a plaster cast. The finger is attached to the wire splint in hyperextension by means of adhesive tape. The fracture is reduced by gradual bending of the wire splint.
