Description: The past 90 years have seen a host of improvements, additional wings and services that have made Nightingale House the UKs largest independent nursing and residential home for the elderly. Nearly 400 residents now make their homes there, many of them suffering from illnesses which require extensive nursing care. We are delighted that the last of our dormitories have now closed and redevelopment of the main building is well underway. When completed, this will provide 40 new single rooms, each with its own private facilities. The accomodation will be dedicated to the care, in privacy and with dignity, of those residents suffering from Alzheimers Disease, and other forms of dementia. We offer our residents a home for life, giving them total security and peace of mind. A home is guaranteed regardless of how much their physical and mental health may deteriorate. Our aim is to provide the maximum physical and mental stimulation for residents through a vast range of cultural and social activities. We hope you find this video a useful and informative guide to everything we are doing to continue Nightingale House's deserved reputation as a leader in its field, a pioneer int he care of the elderly and, of course, a better place for living.'.
