Summary: This is a publicity film for the John Grooms Association showing how a group of severely disabled people strive for and achieve greater independence and a more fulfilled way of life.

Description: Flats at Thorpe Bay built especially for disabled people to enjoy a holiday, a short respite stay or long term accomodation are shown and some of the residents introduced including Sarah, one of the first long term residents to move in to Dolphin Court. Residents are shown shopping at CandA and taking the bus to local activities, some residents get married and their daily lives are shown. This films ends with an appeal for help and funds by Richard Baker and Sarah. A William Hamer Productions Film. Narrated by Richard Baker.
