Summary: The story of a young woman diplomat Lucina Willan's struggle to lead a near-normal life, after suffering serious spinal injury in a road accient in West Africa.

Description: This film looks at the journey of Lucina in coming to turns with her disability and being able to resume her life by going back to work and finding a flat and car through the help of John Grooms Association. After many months in hospital and rehabilitation Lucina recovers at home with her parents but longs for her independent life. When she resumes work at the Foreign Office she goes to John Grooms to see if they can help her with her new life in a wheelchair. The work of the Association is explained to her as well as how she can also be helped. Through the John Grooms Association Lucina moves into a flat designed for disabled people and resumes her life. She is seen going to work in her adapted car and going about her everyday tasks like shopping and entertaining friends. A William Hamer Productions Film
