Description: ISIS Video Presents A Cricklewood Garage Platform Staff Production circa 1980. Directed by Alan Tomkins. Long opening title sequence with stills of buses in accidents, parked in the garage and an ssortment of staff at work and play including women conductors. Then a short history of the omnibus followed a history of the Cricklewood bus service. Quite poor picture and sound quality throughout. A nostalgic look at the staff who worked in the garage through a sequence of still images. Then a tribute to the 266 bus route. Lots of bus driver's point of view shots driving through the Borough set to music. Cricklewood Athletes and the busmen's accomplishments shown through photographs again set to music. Then news cuttings of the imminent closure of the garage. History of the activities of the worker's union in Cricklewood. Mentions the "Devil's Triangle" in the 1980s when a number of bus drivers and conductors were viciously assaulted. Shows the Farewell Bus ride from Cricklewood to Victoria of the bus conductors. Footage of the Grosvenor Suite works banquet. Scenes of people working at the garage intercut with employees dancing at the party.
