Description: Explores how the scheme was a way of relieving the chronic unemployment after the war and how the people who volunteered found themselves dumped in the middle of nowhere not knowing how they were going to survive. Interviews with the settler children now in their later years. Unpicks the relationship between England and Australia at the time. Examines the level of poverty endured by settler families in contrast to the promise of a Land of Milk and Honey. Footage included from Brent's collection mentioned in end credits, although it is difficult to distinguish which footage.
