Description: A voiceover introduces the Bexley mobile library service which delivers facilities to places that are not within easy reach of local libraries. A large pink and white bus with the words 'Children's library' emblazoned across the side is seen driving down provincial roads. The voiceover then extols the virtues of the various features of the bus, these include disabled access, storage facilities for hi tech computer equipment, and an air-conditioning unit. A satellite dish enables access to the world wide web, and a side awning provides shelter from the sun. We then see the interior of the bus and the extent of the onboard facilities, and a man in a pinstriped suit browses volumes and uses the online services within a comfortable, well lit environment. The voiceover then gives a detailed description of the types of shelving used for children's books, and the compact design which allows the computer terminals and shelving units to be safely secured when the bus is in motion. We see further interiors and a member of staff at her terminal. Then the bus is driven down a series of motorway lanes, and the voiceover explains how internet and satellite communications have revolutionised mobile library services.
