Description: This video looks at the many months of planning undertaken by the City Police as well as all the last minute preperations needed to ensue the safety of all involved in the celebrations on that weekend in the City of London, which involved intimate searches of buildings, routes and the checking of buildings, sewers and drains in order to make the city safe for the visitors. Footage is shown of the Blitz and London during the war with comparisons of the city today. The banquetting hall at the Guildhall is shown along with footage of the hall when it was bombed during the war.
