Parents and teachers speak about children starting at secondary school; what to expect, what to ask about etc. There are scenes in a classroom of new pupils taking tests of their academic standards to assess the overall ability of the children and to determine their requirements. An explanation of the process is given by a head teacher who explains how children move on to secondary school. We see an interview between the headmaster and parents to discuss the future educational requirements for their child and the decision of which school.
We see children playing in a playground and a child speaks of their feelings about going to a 'new' school. The headmaster speaks about the correct preparation for children to move to secondary schools from primary schools.
