Wow, talk about blast from the past. I recognise a few teachers, Mr Nicholls who was headmaster when I left, Mr Pardy, he was one strict headmaster, always with a rod inside his cape. Mr Morris, Mr Vella, Mr Lambert, others I recognise but have forgotten their names. I also recognise some school friends on the sports day in 1967, this is amazing to see, like a time machine. Mr Nicholls was a very fair man and kind and helped me a lot with different subjects. I remember our trip to Jersey which was a great holiday and a lot of good fun with the teachers really relaxing and enjoying too. Some times were hard for me because I was very skinny and would get picked on, but overall I have fond memories. Thank you for uploading this archive, it was a wonderful surprise.

The young man presenting the cups in the latter part of the film must be the cricketer Alan Knott (born 1946). He had attended the school himself earlier and in August 1967, presumably about a month after this footage was taken, played his debut test for England. I recognise the playing field from when I attended Erith Comprehensive there 10 years later (the equivalent of years 7 - 9 were on this site then). We had Carpentry in one of those buildings on one side of the field, Chemistry on the other side (it was so cold during the winter that the teacher got us to put on all the bunsen burners at the start of the class). Knott was still the wicket keeper for England then, I remember being proud of the link.
