Intertitle: 'And now a personal episode........ some incidents from a day in the life of ------' Next intertitle shows a cartoon dog with the words 'DOG BOBBY'. A cute border collie is shown sleeping, followed by a shot of a postman entering a gate - the postman wears a long coat and cap. Bobby jumps up and bites the letter from the postman's hand. He is then seen in hallway bringing a slipper to his owner. A hand-drawn cartoon shows Bobby looking out a window with the words "Who'll be the next home?" Bobby sits on a chair looking out a window. Next cartoon says 'Most days the grub's not too bad'. A menu reads 'Chappie - Bones - Tasty leftovers' and the camera pans right to Bobby eating from his bowl. A woman looks down at Bobby. Next cartoon reads "Better get that lead". Bobby's tail wags furiously and he jumps up against a door with excitement. He grabs the lead in his mouth and another cartoon reads "Now for some stick chasing." Now in a large park, Bobby runs towards the camera and sits, then runs after a stick thrown by the woman. He is then seen indoors, sat by a door looking into the camera. We see a close-up shot of a tennis ball followed by a cartoon that reads "Aha! - a game of ball." He then picks up a tennis ball with his mouth and brings it to the woman. She bounces the ball up and down and Bobby follows excitedly. A man in glasses and a suit lies asleep on a chair. The woman, now reading, yawns, as does an older woman who wears a shawl and glasses. Bobby, again sat by the door, looks into the camera and a cartoon reads "Guess I'm tired." Bobby goes to sleep in his bed and an intertitle reads 'Little man you've had a busy day.'
An intertitle reads 'Bobby's Winter Sports'. Bobby runs through the snow in the park, chasing a stick thrown by a boy and playing with another smaller dog. Bobby runs around excitedly, wagging his tail. Final title reads THE END.
