[Barges, Interview and Ice Rink]
9.5mm film Black & White Mute 1936 3:41
Summary: Cranes and barges on the Thames (?) and unidentified man is being interviewed, followed by shot of an ice rink.
Title number: 1453
LSA ID: LSA/1945
Description: Opening title reads 'Planet Amateur Film Society present'. Opening shots that follow are of cranes and barges on the Thames(?) shot from a boat as it moves down the river. We then see two men in suits sitting in a living room talking (the audio for this video appears to be lost, so it is unclear what they are discussing). The men stand up to shake hands. The camera lingers more on the younger of the two men, who is presumably the more important (possibly a celebrity?) An intertitle the reads 'Planet Photonews - Commentary by Godfrey Best' then another reads 'Produced and Edited by Godfrey Best.' We then see men in shovelling large piles of hay; behind them we see the frontage of a building called The Arcade. A man with a moustache smokes a pipe. We then see people skating in a large ice rink (inside The Arcade?).
