Description: The decontamination and cleansing of equipment: Two officials from the Borough of Hackney's Public Health Department, dressed in protective clothing, use a water hose and brush to scrub equipment used in a decontamination exercise. They wash down lidded metal canisters containing tools and wipe the liquid away using cotton waste from a tea crate. The decontamination of personnel: the undressing procedure for a decontamination worker is illustrated by a man in protective clothing, he begins by scrubbing boots in a tray of chemicals, then another man in protective clothing removes the first's hood, gloves, respirator, protective jacket, trousers and boots - placing each in a metal canister. The first man then walks through a curtained off chamber. Two men dressed in protective clothing, demonstrate the processes involved in the decontamination of: a bedstead, furniture, a papered wall, paintwork, a hardwood door, a motor vehicle (a private car), and a cement finished wall. An ending title indicates that 'Part Three Will Follow.
