Taken from East Lane Bridge
16mm film Black & White Silent 14.06.1932 4:13
Summary: A film of traffic shot from East Lane Bridge in Wembley.
Title number: 1113
LSA ID: LSA/1546
Description: The film records activity around North Wembley Underground Station from the bridge on East Lane over the railway. The road is quite busy with traffic including cars, motorcycles, vans, cyclists and pedestrians (a steamroller from 'A. Wooster & Sons, Steamroller Contractors' of Greenford Green also passes). Much of the film looks east towards the General Electric Company (GEC) works. A sign beside the road alerts passers-by to the nearby 'Norfolk Arms' public house. Some of the pedestrians start running at one point as if they have seen a train coming up the line and are rushing to catch it. The large movement of people suggests that it must be the beginning or end of the working day.
Further information: The film was apparently shot on the 14th June 1932.
