Description: A gang of thieves conspire to steal money and jewellery from the home of Mr and Mrs Graham-Milton while they are away in the country, with the assistance of the family's dishonest chauffeur. The ill-begotten wealth produces greed and deceit between the conspirators however and the treachery of thieves leads to their undoing. The Graham-Milton's home is 'Crossways' on the Bishop's Avenue in Hampstead Garden Suburb, and they travel to the country from St Pancras Station, much of the thieves treachery meanwhile is played out beside the Grand Union Canal where it passes through Cassiobury Park in Watford.

Further information: The film was 'highly commended' in the 1949 Ten Best Competition organised by Amateur Cine World magazine. It is an excellent amateur drama, well acted and directed. In one scene a cinema is seen in the background, advertising the film 'Mr Belvedere Goes to College'; this movie was originally released in 1949.
